Modesto Junk Company, Inc. • Recycling Center is a sponsor of the new Modesto Historic Cruise Route, located in Downtown Modesto, CA.
Classic American car cruising history is celebrated with the new Modesto Historic Cruise Route. The former cruising streets of 10th and 11th streets in Downtown Modesto, immortalized in George Lucas’ 1973 film American Graffiti, is now a destination for visitors, both locally and globally. Located right across the street from the old Burge’s Drive-In (9th & “O” streets) throughout the whole car cruising era was Modesto Junk Company!
From the Modesto Cruise Route web site: “As the subject of George Lucas’s milestone film, Modesto is the one true home of the Graffiti Cruise that began in the late 1940s and ’50s with a spirit that lives on today.”
